- Develop awareness of assessment tensions in promoting safety with a focus on rights-based practice.
Module Description:
This module introduces students to the application of theories and principles relevant to practice in statutory services for adults experiencing mental disorder. Students will study the principles of mental capacity law, the principles of supporting personal autonomy as per the Mental Capacity Act (2005), and principles to guide practice in accordance with the legal framework.
