- Candidates with a minimum 2.2 grade honours (level 8) degree in any discipline who can demonstrate at least five years of experience in software, embedded systems, or firmware development will also be considered.
International Overseas Students:
- Minimum 2.1 grade honours (level 8) degree in a cognate discipline such as engineering, computer science, physics or maths (or its international equivalent).
- Minimum English language requirements:
- Specified requirements apply to both EU and non-EU applicants.

- In exceptional circumstances, candidates who lack a primary degree but have over 10 years of relevant work experience in a software development, embedded systems, or firmware role may be considered.
