About Program

Program Overview

The Master of Science in Instructional Technology (ITEC) is designed to provide K-12 educators with the knowledge and skills needed to become technology leaders and practitioners. Each track of our program provides options for graduate certificates (15 credit hours) and master’s degrees (30 credit hours).

NOTE: This program is 100% online – with a combination of face-to-face sessions in which all students and the instructor meet together (using video conferencing software) and asynchronous sessions in which the students work independently.

Program Outline

An endorsement and/or graduate certificate may be earned by taking the 15 credit hours for Online Teaching and Learning and passing the required AR endorsement exam.

**All courses are 100% online- course delivery will consist of:

  • Synchronous delivery: Students online on the day/time the course is offered to collaborate and discuss content.
  • Asynchronous delivery: You have assignments and deadlines to meet, working on your own.

*Taking 6372 and 6380 simultaneously is not recommended. You may enroll in both courses during the same semester with approval from your advisor; however, the content for 6372 is beneficial (RE: necessary) to complete the DESE exam that you complete during 6380.
