Course Structure:
Year One:
Students in the first year of their studies are required to attend modules examined in accordance with Henley Business School rules. These modules include research methods and other areas required for your area of concentration.
- Confirmation of Registration: In the second half of your first year, you must present and defend a fully developed research proposal consisting of a substantial document of around 10,000 words.
Years Two and Three:
You will dedicate the remaining two years of PhD studies solely on completing your thesis prior to your final thesis viva examination. The maximum time allowed for completion before your viva is four full-time years.

Top Grades in Your Masters Degree (Minimum Requirement is Merit or Equivalent, but We Prefer Distinction)
- This requirement applies to both domestic and international students.

- Applicants should have achieved a minimum grade of Merit in their Masters degree.

English Language Requirements
- Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency.
- Acceptable English language tests include:
- IELTS: A score of 7.0 overall, with no band below 6.0.
- TOEFL online: A score of 100 overall, with no less than 20 in Listening, Writing, and Reading, and no less than 21 in Speaking.
- TEEP: A score of 7.0 overall, with no band below 6.0.
Additional Requirements
- Start Date: The PhD program only accepts students starting their studies in September at the beginning of the Autumn term.
