Program Overview

This 4-week summer course in Florence, Italy, immerses students in the world of furniture design. Participants explore Italian and international design history, theories, and detailing, while developing their skills in design development and prototype production. The program is open to students of all experience levels and includes optional Italian language classes.

• The course is conducted in English.
• The program meets for 3 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Tuesdays typically involve special lectures or field trips.
• An optional 1-hour Italian language course is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
