• Year 1:
• Core modules:
Experimental Practices, The Critical Image, Visual Research, Digital Practices
• Develop foundational knowledge and skills in various photographic areas.
• Learn about photography as both practice and theory.
• Year 2:
• Option modules:
Students choose from a selection of modules offered.
• Examples of option modules include: Documentary Photography, Fine Art Photography, Portrait Photography, Landscape Photography, etc.

Major Project
• Conduct independent research and complete a significant photographic project.
• Receive guidance from a faculty supervisor.

Assessment:

• 100% coursework-based assessment throughout the program.
• Variety of assessment methods including: essays, portfolios, critical research journals, presentations, and the final major project.
• Formative feedback opportunities during development and practice sessions.
• Summative assessments contribute to module marks.
• Feedback provided within 15 working days of handing in assessments.

Teaching:

Home (UK) Fees

The fees above are for the 2024/25 academic year but may be subject to change following any announcements by the UK Government (approved by Parliament) regarding maximum Undergraduate tuition fee caps for 2024/25. In addition, the University reserves the right to increase all full-time and part-time Undergraduate tuition fees mid-course, in line with any further inflationary increase in the Government tuition fee cap which is approved by Parliament. Students with an Overseas fee status will be eligible for an International student Scholarship fee discount of £1,500, which will be applied to all Full-time Undergraduate courses with a tuition fee of £15,500.
