Clinical Drug Development Online MSc
This program provides students with a multidisciplinary perspective to facilitate their skills in drug development, specifically clinical drug development. Objectives:
The program arms professionals with the skills and knowledge to:
- Understand the basics of drug discovery and pre-clinical research.

- Manage data from a clinical study.
- Understand the critical aspects of health and pharmacoeconomics.
- Develop skills in marketing and pharmaceutical sales. This program empowers professionals working in the field and those looking to transition into the field with the skills and understanding needed for fast progression and leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry and contract research organizations (CROs).
Program Structure:
The program is delivered online through QMplus, Queen Mary's dedicated online portal. Students can access each lecture through audio recordings and slide/whiteboard content. There is a focus on learner engagement with teaching staff and peers throughout the program.

- Nine compulsory modules that cover vital aspects of clinical drug development.
- Compulsory up to 20,000-word dissertation topic of your choice.

Assessment:
The program uses continuous assessment throughout the modules through essay-style answers, a series of shorter answers, or a blend of both.
Teaching:
The program is entirely online through the Queen Mary Virtual Learning Environment, QMplus. You will be able to follow each lecture through audio recordings and slide/whiteboard content. You are encouraged to interact with teaching staff and other students online through discussion forums, group activities, and be a part of the student community.

This course is specifically designed to help professionals build careers in the pharmaceutical industry and with contract research organisations (CROs).

The course fee is charged per annum for the first two years. For the 2024/25 academic year, the fee is £12,650 for UK/EU students and £28,900 for international students. EU/EEA/Swiss students can apply for a £1,000, £10% or £20% discount on their fees depending on the program of study.
