- Students can undertake a supervised project across a range of research themes: Enhancing Sport Performance, Occupational Performance, Health and Wellbeing, Nutritional Supplementation, Diversity and Equality in Sport, and Optimising Practice in PE.
Assessment:
- The research dissertation element of the course consists of a series of assessed tasks that support the production of a final journal article submission and conference presentation.
- These tasks may include: proposal, extended literature review, ethical review application, PhD or funding proposal, and reflective log.
- The tasks are intended to provide developmental experiences that enhance research skills.
Teaching:
- The program aims to provide an outstanding learning experience in a supportive community of learning.
- On application, students are asked to provide an indication of their research topic and methods.
- Based on this information, students are assigned a supervisor (and second supervisor) who guides them through developing their research idea and agrees which taught elements will support the delivery of the research program.
