Outline:
The program is structured as follows:
Year 1:
- Students take 60 credits of intensive language instruction in their chosen language.
- They also complete 60 credits in the discipline, including core modules on "African and Asian Diasporas" and "Migration, Borders, and Space," as well as guided modules from a selection of options.
- In the summer, students participate in a Summer School abroad focused on their chosen language.
Year 2:
- Students take another 30 language credits and 60 credits in the discipline.
- They complete their dissertation in the discipline under the guidance of an expert supervisor.
Assessment:
The program utilizes a variety of assessment methods, including:
- Essays: Students write essays on various topics related to migration and diaspora studies, demonstrating their critical thinking, analytical skills, and ability to engage with scholarly literature.
- Presentations: Students deliver presentations based on their research, further developing their communication and public speaking skills.
