Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree of at least second-class standard in a relevant/related subject.
  • This could include degrees in Film Studies, Media Production, English Literature, or other subjects related to film and storytelling.
  • Prior practical experience working in the arts or media is highly beneficial.
  • This experience can be obtained through paid work, internships, volunteering, or independent projects.
  • Relevant experience and ability to work at postgraduate level may be considered even if you are not a graduate or have a degree in an unrelated field.

International Overseas Students:

  • All international students are subject to the same requirements as EU Home Students, as listed above.
  • Additionally, international students require an IELTS score (or equivalent English language qualification) of 7.0 with a 7.0 in writing and no element lower than 6.5.
  • It is not currently possible for international students to study part-time under a student visa.
  • This is typically achieved by submitting an IELTS score of 7.0 with a minimum of 7.0 in writing and no individual component below 6.5.
  • Other equivalent English language qualifications may also be accepted.
