    BA (Hons) English Literature with Creative Writing

    Are you the next award-winning writer, poet or journalist? Develop your creative writing skills alongside a critical study of literature at UEA.

    This exciting degree includes classes in writing poetry, prose and drama, and you’ll be taught by practicing and published authors. You’ll get involved in interactive workshops where you’ll develop new creative material through technical exercises, group discussion and the exploration of strategies for drafting and re-drafting new work.

    How will I be assessed?

    You will be assessed in each module. Assessment is designed to help you build on our success and meet the requirements for entry to the first year of a degree. Grades from the International Foundation program do not count towards the final degree but they help the university assess your abilities in your chosen field of study.

    You are assessed by a combination of examination and coursework, which may include:

  • seminar discussions
  • class tests
  • problem solving exercises.
  • INTO was beneficial to me academically in the sense that I'd already been taught some of the topics I did in my first year of university. The fact that most of the topics were familiar to me gave me confidence and a very good foundation for my Law degree.
