- Typical International Baccalaureate (IB) offer: 32 overall, with 4 in an SL Maths and a Science subject
- Typical BTEC offer: BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline, with a Distinction in both Engineering Principles and Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems
- GCSE: A minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9-4 (A -C) including Maths and Science grade 6/B and English Language grade 4/C
- Other:
- T Level Merit Overall/B in Core Component T Levels in Accounting; Finance; Management and Administration; Design, surveying and planning for Construction and Engineering and Manufacturing are considered.

- Those wishing to study a degree without the appropriate background
- Students performing at a very high standard in a chosen sport, who wish to study at Loughborough, but do not have the required qualifications due to sporting commitments

- Those who did not meet their expected entrance requirements due to illness or other adverse situations
- Students with alternative backgrounds and qualifications
- Applications are treated on a case-by-case basis and several other personal situations may also be considered. Applicants are usually selected solely based on their UCAS application, but in exceptional cases, an interview and/or maths test may be required.
EU and International Students
- Australia: Typical offers for students from Australia are based on the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). Typically, a score between 85.00 and 94.00 would be required. For students from Queensland, requirements from the Overall Position (OP) would typically be between 8 and 4.
- Austria: For students taking the Austrian Reifeprüfung (Matura), we typically require an average score between 2.2 and 1.2 from 6 written or spoken exams. Where courses have specific subject requirements, a score of 2 or 1 will normally be required in each.
