This 4-week Summer University course explores the art of creative writing, covering topics like bio-mythography, writing from the senses, and narrative structures. Participants will develop their writing skills and techniques through a portfolio of creative work and a reflective commentary. Suitable for beginners, the course provides a foundation for further creative writing studies and encourages creativity and imagination.

  • Words: sounds, marks, meanings.
  • The structures of stories (basic narrative structures).
  • Structure:
  • 4 weeks, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-9pm.
  • Summer University course.
  • Can be combined with other Summer University modules.
  • Delivered on-campus at Middlesbrough.
