About Program

Program Overview

Our Psychometric Assessment Service (PAS) run training programmes leading to the British Psychological Society (BPS) Certificates of Competence in the use of Ability tests (formerly Occupational Testing Level A).

Introducing the use of psychological testing in an organisation can lead to a range of benefits. Typically, psychological tests can be used for the purpose of developing a more robust recruitment and selection process by ensuring the best person, both in terms of ability and/or personality gets the job.

This in turn can lead to:

  • lower staff turnover
  • increased productivity
  • more established teams
  • greater job satisfaction
  • Ability and personality tests are also commonly used in supporting employee career progression and professional development in order to reflect on the strengths and areas in need of development.

Studying on the combined course, employees can become qualified to administer, score, write and feedback psychological tests for occupational purposes and gain entry onto the British Psychological Society’s Register of Qualified Test Users

Certification is an established way to demonstrate competence in the use of ability and aptitude tools, and can be an asset for those seeking/following a career in human resource management or psychology.

This course is a 5 day intensive programme for Certification of Test Administrators or test users. Courses take place in Carlisle, Lancaster, Ambleside and London or can be delivered on your organisation's premises.
