Opportunity modules are a key part of the BNU curriculum. You’ll choose modules in both your first and second year from a broad selection in areas such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, creativity, digital skills, personal growth, civic engagement, health & wellbeing and employment. Opportunity modules are designed to enable you to develop outside the traditional boundaries of your discipline and help you to further stand out from the crowd to future employers.

Photography, Design and Visual Communication

This module introduces creative thinking processes, ideas and image generation techniques that encourage you to develop approaches to problem solving, within the areas of photography, graphic design and advertising. Through a series of workshops which focus upon these key areas, you’ll be explore your own ability to respond to set problems.

This interdisciplinary theory-based module introduces students to the skills and perspectives needed to research, analyse, speak and write about images, objects and designed spaces.
