This module introduces creative thinking processes, ideas and image generation techniques that encourage you to develop approaches to problem solving, within the areas of photography, graphic design and advertising. Through a series of workshops which focus upon these key areas, you’ll be explore your own ability to respond to set problems.

This module is an introduction to a range of executional skills you’ll need to communicate across a range of media to reach a defined target audience. It will examine the basic creative skills you will need to write, art direct and execute advertisements, the creative building blocks used to create advertisements.

Advertising Pitch 20.00

The Pitch module continues the learner’s introduction to the core subject area of the course. The module comprises a big project, pitching for a piece of business in a real-world competitive situation, based on a brief from an actual agency.

On this module you’ll experience creative opportunities within advertising, with sometimes first-time experiences. The module comprises a series of projects, based on key subjects covered such as the ad agency, creative advertising, strategic thinking, creating ‘big ideas’ that cross over the disciplines of advertising and design.

This interdisciplinary theory-based module introduces students to the skills and perspectives needed to research, analyse, speak and write about images, objects and designed spaces.
