Alumni include practitioners from the Royal College of Veterinary Nurses and journalism. The program emphasizes key components of quality improvement, including public policy, organizational strategy, governance, risk management, leadership, professional behavior change, and service user involvement. Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

The entry requirements for the MSc Leading Quality Improvement programme are detailed below.


2:2 Honours degree or equivalent professional qualification:

Applicants holding a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a grade of 2:2 (lower second class honors) will be considered. Other equivalent professional qualifications are also accepted as long as they can demonstrate the applicant possesses the necessary knowledge and skills for postgraduate-level study.


3 years professional experience:

Applicants without a formal degree qualification may still be considered for entry provided they possess at least 3 years' relevant professional experience. This experience must demonstrably equip them with the ability to successfully engage with the program’s curriculum.


Credit Transfer/Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning:

Individuals with significant professional or other relevant experience may be eligible for accreditation, allowing credit transfer for up to 40 Level 7 credits. If accreditation is requested for taught research methods modules, they should have been successfully completed within the past 5 years.


International Applicants:

International applicants must meet the same academic entry requirements as UK applicants but are additionally required to possess a recognized English Language qualification. They must demonstrate an IELTS score of at least 6.0, with no individual band falling below 5.5. Alternatively, they must comply with the specific English language requirements for their country as outlined on the International Education Centre page. It's imperative that all international applications include the applicant's personal statement.


Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.0, with no individual band falling below 5.5.
