This program focuses on the study of languages, cultures, sociolinguistics, literature, and history in relation to French, German, Hispanic, Italian, and Slavonic Studies. - Visual Culture: Explores visual culture in literature and arts through textual-image investigations, encompassing areas like Mexican photography, French architecture and art, and Brazilian film.
- Histories and Subjectivities: Examines life histories and autobiography, the body and emotions, gender studies, working lives and professional cultures, history, and memory.
- Writing in Transit/Cultural Translations: Integrates expertise in Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, and cross-cultural research, investigating topics like transnational writing, migration, (un)translatability, ethics, and world literature.
- Critical Editions and Translations: Explores textual cultures through critical editions, book history, and translations, drawing on the School's expertise and experience.
