Program Overview
Introduction
Gain an in-depth understanding of pastoral theology as it relates to the goals of chaplaincy and care. This Masters degree is taught by Cambridge Theological Federation and accredited by ARU.
Program Outline
Whether you're studying for an MA, PG Cert or PG Dip, you'll study two core modules: Models of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care; and Pastoral Placement.
PG Dip and MA students select three optional modules. You'll select two 30-credit modules from: Themes in Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Care; Children’s Spirituality; Pastoral Supervision; Christian Spirituality in the Contemporary World; Spirituality, Materiality and the Body; Wesleyan Spirituality and Theology; Ethics in Professional Context; Interfaith Relations from Theory to Encounter.
You'll then select a third optional module from: Moral Development, Reasoning and Decision Making; The Theology and Practice of Mission; Theology and Science.
MA students also complete a Major Project (dissertation).
