Outline:

The BA (Hons) Interior Design program at UCA Canterbury is a three-year course that is divided into six semesters. Each semester is approximately 15 weeks long.


Year 1:

  • Semester 1: Design 01 - Sketch and Build, Design for Equity 01, Briefs and Positions 01, Opportunity Week.
  • Semester 2: Iterate and Adapt 01, Critical Analysis 01, Material and Digital Practices, ATOM activities.

Year 2:

  • Semester 1: Design 03 - Fabricate and Form, Design for Equity 02, Briefs and Positions 02, Opportunity Week.
  • Semester 2: Context and Constraint, Pathways and Mentors, Critical Analysis 02, ATOM activities.

Year 3:

  • Semester 1: Design 05 - Pitch and Prototype, Critical Analysis 03, Briefs and Positions 03, Opportunity Week.
  • Semester 2: Major Project.
